Nanobubble Systems

Specifications

Aquaox Nanobubble Systems generate ultra-fine gas bubbles—typically <200 nm in diameter—that remain stably suspended in water for extended periods. Owing to their large specific surface area, neutral buoyancy, and unique interfacial properties, nanobubbles significantly enhance mass transfer, oxidation efficiency, and cleaning performance compared to conventional aeration or dissolved gas injection technologies.

System Configuration

  • Bubble size: Typically 70–200 nm (application-dependent)
  • Gas types: Oxygen (O₂), air, ozone (O₃), carbon dioxide (CO₂)
  • Bubble concentration: Up to 10⁸–10⁹ bubbles/mL
  • Zeta potential: Negative surface charge for long-term stability
  • Dissolution efficiency: >90% gas transfer efficiency
  • Operating pressure: Low to moderate (system-specific)
  • Materials: Industrial-grade stainless steel and chemical-resistant polymers
  • Control & automation: PLC-controlled operation with optional DO, ORP, and flow monitoring
  • Integration: Skid-mounted or cabinet-based systems; retrofit-ready for existing water loops
  • Customization: Systems engineered to customer-specific flow rates, gas types, and process requirements

Benefits

  • Superior oxygen and gas transfer
Dramatically improves dissolved oxygen levels and gas availability without excessive energy input.
  • Enhanced cleaning and oxidation
Nanobubbles generate localized reactive oxygen species (ROS), improving biofilm removal and CIP performance.
  • Long-lasting stability
Unlike microbubbles, nanobubbles remain suspended for hours to days, ensuring sustained process effectiveness.
  • Reduced chemical consumption
Improves efficacy of disinfectants (e.g., HOCl) and oxidants, enabling lower dosages.
  • Energy-efficient operation
High mass-transfer efficiency reduces compressor and pumping requirements.
  • Environmentally responsible
Supports lower chemical loads, reduced wastewater impact, and improved sustainability metrics.

Typical Applications

  • Water & wastewater treatment
Enhanced aeration, oxidation, odor control, and biological process support.
  • Food & beverage processing
CIP optimization, biofilm control, surface sanitation, and water reuse applications.
  • Horticulture & agriculture
Improved root oxygenation, irrigation water quality, and nutrient uptake.
  • Aquaculture & RAS systems
Stable dissolved oxygen levels, reduced pathogen pressure, and improved animal welfare.
  • Industrial cleaning & process water
Precision cleaning, reduced fouling, and improved process stability.
  • Advanced oxidation processes (AOP)
Synergistic use with ozone or electro-chemical activation technologies.
